Today I managed to finish my poster and the complete the final piece, using InDesign was a challenge however it was a good experience and was interesting to use it again after such a long time.
I like how the colours worked together however I am slightly concerned that I over done it with the lines on the back ground of the poster, I added some smaller and thinner lines at the top and the bottom of the page to make it look more noticeable.
I also managed to edit the final photos on photo shop, with the brightness and contrast tool and edited the set to hide the occasional messy wires or holes in the walls with the clone stamp tool in order to match the appropriate colours and textures. Overall I am pleased with how it turned out and it has given me some experience on having a client who is expecting so much from me and the overall experience has given me a rough idea on what actual clients are like and how serious it is that you keep to the production schedule and stay on target with set tasks and responsibilities.

Production diary unit 13: 30/04/2015

After looking at the production schedule for today I had to make a start on the design features like theme, font and what photos I was to use for my final piece. I also had to make a start on starting my 'understanding copyright' and 'understanding the term Intellectual property' assignment. This was all book work, however I did use the computer so I could print off all the requirements that were needed to make my book worthy of passing the task.
I used the now updated proposal a lot to see if the ideas I had in mind fell in line with the expectations of what the client wanted. However I knew that they wanted something simple and effective however i wanted to put my own creative twist into things and create something unique and bold to result in an effective poster.
The most important colour that we decided on is lime green, which is a very difficult colour to match up with, so it requires a lot of neutral colours like creams, blacks, and whites so this is going to prove to be a fun challenge.

Key!: All italic text is showing that I am in a different location other than the college and what activity I am doing.
Location: UCP Marjons
Activity: Photo shoot and Model consent signing
Today was the photo shoot at UCP Marjons, the client was slightly late again however he gave me notice, and the timing wasn't particularly bad as the technician was back from his holiday and had already set up most of the equipment and showed the guest into the studio.
I had my own resources for the photo shoot, I had my own camera which was proven to be useful as I was able to take it home and look through the photos I had taken, this also saves time as I don't have to take any detours through the college to hire out one of their cameras so I can just simply go straight from my house to the location; also I prefer my camera to the ones that are provided by the college.
After the photo shoot, the client took me to the library and we printed off the email with the Model consent form attached, unfortunately we were meant to print this off before the show however as he was running late we had to get on with the main priority which was the photo shoot. This then meant that i missed my bus back to town and back to the college so I looked at the risk assessment that I had with me on the day and contacted my tutor to inform them of the situation, and ask the client what he was expecting to see from the poster and picked up the main and vital details that must be shown on the poster.

Today's challenge according to the production schedule is to complete a majority of the paperwork before the photo shoot which takes place on the 23rd. So today's necessity is to complete the Risk assessment, the Recce, bully the client into signing the Model consent form (which has been sent over a week ago *sigh*) and start the proposal if there's any time left at the end of it.
I managed to complete the risk assessment and the recce with ease by pointing out the potential risks and hazards, however the model consent form and the proposal took the most amount of time as it required the client to communicate and he was very busy. So when it came to the proposal I had to make simple notes and am going to have to modify it when I see the client tomorrow and at the same time will probably have to get him to sign the Model consent forms before i take any pictures.

Key!: All italic text is showing that I am in a different location other than the college and what activity I am doing.
Today i drew out the production schedule as I would have some idea on what I am going to be doing on some of the days as well as catching up with any outstanding work. Todays main objectives were to get the Recce photos and look at some ideas for the poster I am going to produce.
Location: UCP Marjons
Activity: Recce shooting
The aim for today was to get the photos for the risk assessment and the recce, however the client was late, so the timings were a bit off and he had to set up the radio show on his own this week as the technician was on holiday. However I got the photos that were required and headed back to the college.
When I got back to the college, I was unable to upload the photos I got from today as I forgot to bring a USB lead for my camera so I just cracked on with the next activity on my production schedule which was looking at other posters and get some ideas on what to do for it, I focused on texts, colours, themes and fonts and made notes of them in my book

Today we started our new unit (unit 13: to be able to produce a media product) and had to start with task 1 which was having to plan 3 different types of media products in 3 different categories. We had to plan one product in one of the following categories:
-) Audio visual: ranges from film trailers to TV programs to film
-) Audio product: this ranges mostly in radio, where you can have talk shows, soundtracks and music.
-) Print product: This category falls into the posters, hand outs, and magazines as well as newspapers.
I had one main idea for each of these products so I mind mapped it out in a work book:
-) Audio visual: For this category I wanted to experiment with online content, the idea was to research current and local events and create an online advert to inform potential guests.
-) Audio Product: In audio product I was focused on Radio, and advertise any small and local businesses in Cornwall and Devon, this would give me the opportunity to experiment with creating sound effects from scratch.
-) Print Product: This is my final idea, I am creating a poster for a local radio show at UCP Marjons, they are a radio show that play tracks by local musicians as well as bringing in live guests and playing musicians who are well known as well as limited to small area
